Binghamton volleyball swept 3-0 by Albany

Vestal, N.Y. - Albany (16-8, 6-0 AE) defeated Binghamton (11-11, 3-3 AE) 3-0 (25-21, 25-13, 25-21) for the second time in three days in women's volleyball competition. Albany remains unbeaten and in first place in the America East.

Albany has beaten Binghamton in eight straight matches.

The Great Danes were led on offense by Hillary White and Teresa Coppiellie, who each had 11 kills. White also hit at a .688 percentage.

Libero Laurie Gonzalez scooped a match-high 17 digs and setter Brooke Stanley tallied 35 assists, seven digs and three service aces for Albany.

Binghamton's junior hitter Michelle McDonough posted a match-high 16 kills and hit at a sound .467 percentage.

Binghamton will next play at Colgate on Wednesday night in a non-conference match.
