Box Score "We just got to do a lot of things better," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "We need to be able to execute better and even work on some of our fundamentals to be able to compete with these teams out here." Butler was led by 16 kills from Jessica Wolfe and 32 assists from Gina Vera. The Bearcats top hitter in the match was junior Anna Lejina, who posted 11 kills. Binghamton fared better against Marquette, registering 37 kills to the hosts 35, but still lost the match. Marquette had nine blocks against BU, with Rabbecka Gonyo leading with way with five stuffs and nine kills. Lejina was solid in the second match of the day as well, posting a match-high 14 kills while hitting at a .393 percentage. Binghamton will return home this weekend to host Cornell, Fairleigh Dickinson and Towson in the Binghamton Invite on Friday and Saturday. |
