BU volleyball to offer a number of 2010 summer camps

[camp brochure...]

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Assistant volleyball coach
Rachel Refenes has recently announced that Binghamton will host a variety of summer youth volleyball camps this coming July.

There will be a number of individual and team camps for girls ages 6 all the way up to seniors in high school. A camp for younger girls is the volleybabies camp.

"We are really excited to be holding the volleybabies, position and team camp again this year," Refenes said. "The volleybabies camp will give 6-12 year olds an opportunity to learn the skills and rules of volleyball in a positive and fun environment."

Team camps will also be offered again this summer.

"Last summer local college coaches were able to work with and teach the high school teams over the course of the two days. It was a lot fun and a big success so we brought it back again this year in hopes that we can add more teams and increase the level of competition."

Lastly, the Binghamton program will also offer two overnight camps for junior and elite players.

"The junior and elite overnight camps will be focused on players developing their all around skills and incorporate a lot of team drills and competitions. Our current BU players will be in the gym giving individual attending and sharing their volleyball knowledge with the next generation of potential Bearcats!"

All of the following camps/clinics are open to any and all entrants.

Day Camps:
Volleybabies - July 22-23
Position Camp - July 24
Team Camp July 31-August 1

Overnight Camps:
Junior Volleyball Camp - July 25-27
Elite Volleyball Camp July 27-30
