Immediate Release: September 6, 2005 Contact: Thomas Moore II (sports@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-2956 Hoag named America East Conference Volleyball Co-Player of the Week America East Conference Release VESTAL, N.Y.--Junior middle blocker Megan Hoag (Brunswick, Ohio) has been named the America East Conference Volleyball Co-Player of the Week for all matches this season prior to Sept. 6. This marks the first time in her career she has received the honor. In four matches this season, Hoag leads the Bearcats with 3.19 kpg and 3.06 dpg with a .309 hitting percentage. Against St. Johns, she posted a career-high 18 kills. She is the only member of the team to have a double-double in all four matches to help lead Binghamton to its first 4-0 start since the 1997 season. In her first two season she only recorded five double-doubles. Binghamton (4-0) hosts Syracuse (1-2) at 7 p.m. on Today at the West Gym. |
