Volleyball swept at Hofstra in three games

Hofstra, N.Y.--After an impressive weekend at the George Washington Invitational, Binghamton (5-6) came out flat against Hofstra (7-5) on Sunday afternoon, losing in three games. The scores were 30-16, 30-26, 30-28.

"We didn't play well today, especially in the frst game," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "We bounced back and played well in the last two games but overall it wasn't a good match for us."

Senior middle blocker
Anne Crocus (Bethlehem, Pa.) had a team-high 15 kills and five total blocks while senior ride side hitter Jen Smith (North Tonawanda, N.Y.) added 10 kills. Sophomore setter Ashley Meffert (Louisville, Ky.) tallied 35 assists and freshman outside hitter Kristin Stephens (Melville, N.Y.) had a team-high 10 digs.

Binghamton travels to Syracuse on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. match.
