• Before Binghamton: A three year letter winner... named teams most outstanding blocker, best offensive player and MVP her senior year... named first team all-council... captain for two years... also a three year letter winner for basketball squad where she was named best defensive player and was team captain.

• Personal: Born March 26, 1985 ... parents are James & Marie Hoin... majoring in political science... contributes as sports writer for Binghamton's student newspaper... wrote an article for the five-year anniversary of Binghamton's formal acceptance into the America East Conference: Living Out A Dream by Ashley Hoin
