McDonough named America East Volleyball Rookie of the Week
Freshman hitter leads Bearcats in kills per games

VESTAL, N.Y. -- First-year hitter
Michelle McDonough was named the America East Conference Volleyball Rookie of the Week honors for October 29. This is the first weekly award of the season for McDonough.

In three matches last week McDonough led Binghamton with 3.80 kills per game (sixth-best in conference last week) and 2.70 digs per game. Against New Hampshire, the rookie had a match-high tying 19 kills and 13 digs to lead the Bearcat attack. The double-double was her sixth of the season. McDonough played in 10 of Binghamton's 11 games, collecting four service aces and 4.60 points per game.

Next up for the Bearcats will be a Friday date at third-place Albany (16-8, 5-3 AE).
