McDonough and Mueller earn weekly AE accolades

VESTAL N.Y. -- Sophomore hitter
Michelle McDonough has been named the America East Player of the Week and sophomore setter Lindsey Mueller has been chosen as the AE Setter of the Week for the week ending November 2.

Both players were key contributors last week, as the Bearcats posted a 3-0 mark, sweeping Cornell, Hartford and Stony Brook.

McDonough averaged 5.00 kills, 2.89 digs and 0.69 blocks per set on the week. She posted 17 kills, eight digs and four blocks against Cornell, 18 kills and nine digs versus Hartford and finally 10 kills and nine digs against Stony Brook. McDonough has now reached double-digits in kills 15 times on the season and is ranked second in the conference in kills per set (3.45).

Mueller averaged 12.22 assists and 2.44 digs per set on the week. She accumulated 40 assists and seven digs against Cornell, 34 assists and eight digs against Hartford and 36 assists and seven digs against Stony Brook. Mueller ranks second in the conference in assists per set (10.15).

This is McDonough's second player of the week selection and Mueller's third setter of the week honor of the season.

Binghamton is preparing for a critical final home weekend, hosting third-place UMBC on Friday at 6 p.m. and first-place Albany on Sunday at 1 p.m. Senior night will be held prior to Friday's match.
