Binghamton Volleyball Season Review

Recap
Finished 16-18 overall, 7-5 in America East - 4th Place
- Fourth consecutive trip to America East Tournament. Lost in
semifinals to #1 Stony Brook, 1-3
- Won in-season Golden Flash Invitational after posting wins
over Canisius, Youngstown State and host Kent St.
- Posted a 6-2 home record, 4-2 vs. AE opponents in the West
Gym
- Team carried a 14-match home winning streak into September
and a 17-match home conference winning streak into October
- Team had three separate season-high four-game win streaks
- Head coach Glenn Kiriyama won his 100th DI game (105-111 in
seven years at DI level)
- Team led conference in total blocks (3.00 b/g) - ranked 30th
overall in the nation
- Set team single season record for:
o total attempts - 5,000
o total digs - 2,071
o digs per game - 17.12
o block assists - 620
o blocks per game - 3.00
- Team set two individual match records vs. Kent St. on 9-8-07;
most attack attempts (254) and most digs (134)
- Non-conference schedule included four 2007 conference champions
and NCAA tournament members:
