Binghamton volleyball falls on the road to Stony Brook 3-0
McDonough becomes fasted Bearcat to hit 1,000 kills

Stony Brook, N.Y. - Three Stony Brook hitters posted double-digit kills as the Seawolves (13-11, 5-3 AE) swept visiting Binghamton (11-14, 3-5 AE) 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 15-13) on Friday night on Long Island. With the loss, the Bearcats fall into a fourth place tie with New Hampshire in the America East standings with two conference matches remaining.

Junior hitter Anna Lejina had a team-high 12 kills for Binghamton, which was out hit in the match .371 to .165.

Junior hitter Michelle McDonough had nine kills in the match and becomes the fastest Bearcat to reach the 1,000 career kills mark. Former Bearcat Michele Heck was the only other Bearcat to amass 1,000 years as a junior, but McDonough accomplished the feat in less games.

Binghamton will play at UMBC on Saturday at 6 p.m.
