Box Score

Vestal, N.Y. —Sophomore outside hitter Morgan Hall had a match-high 14 kills and junior setter Michaela Skelly dished out 34 assists, leading Syracuse to a three-game sweep of Binghamton in volleyball action on Wednesday night at West Gym. The Orangewomen won by scores of 30-23, 30-19, 30-28.

“We fought hard but made way too many errors on our attacks,” said Binghamton head coach Glenn Kiriyama. “We could have competed better if we cleaned up our attack errors. Syracuse is a solid team in a good conference (Big East).”

For Binghamton, sophomore middle blocker Anne Crocus (Bethlehem, Pa./ Freedom) had a team-high nine kills and a match high seven total blocks (four solo, three assisted). Sophomore outside hitter Jennifer Smith (North Tonawanda, N.Y./ North Tonawanda) had six kills and 10 digs while sophomore setter Glorimar Ortega (Narajito, Puerto Rico) had a team-high 13 assists and three service aces.

Binghamton travels to the Robert Morris Tournament to play four matches this weekend.
