Naglieri (sports@binghamton.edu) Phone: 607-777-2956 Volleyball drops a pair of decisions at Western New York Invitational Valparaiso Box Score Wisconsin-Milwaukee Box Score NIAGARA UNIVERSITY, N.Y. -- Binghamton University volleyball (2-4) dropped a pair of matches on Saturday at the Western New York Invitational hosted by Niagara University. The Bearcats fell just shy of a victory over Valparaiso University, losing in a hard-fought five-game match (32-30, 27-30, 26-30 30-22, 13-15), before losing a three-game decision to the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (23-30, 23-30, 24-30) in the afternoon's finale. Junior Ashley Allen (Mill Creek, Wash.) led the Bearcats with 20 kills in two games, senior Jacki Kane (Centennial, Colo.) added 15 kills and a a team-high 14 blocks, while freshman Michelle McDonough (Orland Hills, Ill.) tallied 19 kills and 15 digs. The Bearcats return to the courts against St. Francis (N.Y.) on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. |
