Kane and Hoag each had 8 kills. Brody contributed with 8 digs. The Bearcats hit an amazing .354 for the match against the Fightin' Blue Hens.

"It was a nice all-around effort," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "The team served well the first two games. In the third match we played well and with a lot of enthusiasm."

Against host Yale, Brody led the Bearcats with 12 kills and 4 blocks, while freshman libro Jaclyn Strader (Kettering, Ohio) had a team-high 10 digs. Meffert had a team-high 33 assists. Kane had 9 kills and 3 blocks. Freshman outside hitter Brianna Strong (Elkhart, Ind.) contributed with 8 kills and 9 digs. Hoag had 2 aces and 9 digs.

"We started off slow, then we became more competitive in the second and third games," Kiriyama said. "Yale just over powered us. We got our conference schedule coming up next weekend and this helped us gear up for that."

Binghamton finishes its non-conference schedule at Cornell on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
