|Bearcats hire Zuber as assistant volleyball coach|
Kishan Zuber, a 2001 graduate of Binghamton University and a four-year standout on the volleyball team, has been named the new assistant coach of the team.
"I'm excited to be a part of this program again," Zuber said. "Hopefully I can bring the same energy and enthusiasm to this team as a coach that I did as a player."
Zuber was a four-year middle blocker and two-year team captain for Binghamton from 1997-2001. She helped lead the squad to the 2000 and 2001 ECAC Division II titles. During her four years on the team, Binghamton ran up a record of 91-56, including a 47-20 her final two seasons. At the conclusion of her career, Zuber was honored with the Senior Merit Award for her outstanding athletic accomplishments.
A native of Allentown, Pa., Zuber is currently the head coach at Parkland High School in her home town. In addition, she has been an assistant coach in cross court volleyball the past six years, also in Allentown.
"We are looking forward to having Kishan join our staff," head coach Glenn Kiriyama said. "She knows our program very well and will be a fine addition to what we have already established here."
