women's basketball loses 79-56 at Boston University
BOSTON, Mass.-- Caitlyn Moran
scored 21 points and Chantell Alford added 20 points, powering
Boston University (12-10, 8-2 AE) to a 79-56 win over Binghamton
(8-14, 4-5 AE) in an America East Conference women's basketball
game on Wednesday night at Case Gym. The loss snapped the Bearcats'
two-game winning streak.
Moran scored 12 of her points in the first half as the Terriers
took a 36-25 lead at the break. The Terriers never trailed in
the opening 20 minutes, scoring the first eight points of the
game and racing out to a 20-7 lead with 11:09 left before halftime.
Binghamton was within 57-47 with just under eight minutes left
in regulation but a 15-5 Terrier blitz put them up 72-52 with
5:39 left to go. Moran had five of her points during decisive

Holmes netted a game-high 22 points, marking the fifth time
this season and eighth time in her career that she has reached
the 20-point mark in scoring. Sophomore guard Orla
