women's basketball loses to Central Michigan 76-55
unable to overcome foul trouble in the second half
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.-- Kahilo Szunko scored a game-high 18 points,
leading Central Michigan (4-2) to a 76-55 win over Binghamton
(2-3) in the consolation game of the Hilton Gardens Thanksgiving
Tournament on Saturday afternoon at the Rollie Activity Center.

The combination of 24 turnovers and nine three pointers allowed
was pivotal in the Bearcat defeat. So too was foul trouble, which
forced Binghamton to go to a thin bench early in the second half.

O'Reilly netted a team-high 14 points while sophomore forward

double-double with 12 points and a career-high 12 rebounds. Freshman
Swain finished with 11 points while junior point guard Andrea
Holmes chipped in 10 points. Swain and Holmes have now reached
double figures in all five games this season.
Central Michigan drained six three pointers in the opening 20
minutes to take a 41-30 lead at the break. O'Reilly countered
with all of her 14 points, including four three pointers, in
the first half.
The Bearcats went on a 7-0 run in the first 2:15 of the second
half but got into foul trouble shortly afterwards. Central Michigan
took advantage, going on an 11-0 run to go up 52-37 with 14:19
left in regulation. The Bearcats got no closer the rest of the
Binghamton returns home to face Army on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
