Women's basketball team posts 18th-best improvement in the nation during 2003-04 season

The Binghamton women's basketball team, which won seven more games than it did during the 2003-04 season, had the 18th-best improvement in the nation this year. The Bearcats' 17-10 season was an improvement of 7.0 wins after finishing 10-17 the previous season.

Binghamton was picked to finish eighth in the America East Conference this past season but instead finished tied for second place. The Bearcats also clinched the No. 2 seed in the America East Conference Tournament. For his part in the turnaround, Rich Conover was named the America East Conference Coach of the Year.

Binghamton went 12-6 in conference competition after going 6-10 during the 2002-03 season.
