Women's basketball team faces Le Moyne in exhibition game on Tuesday

After three weeks of practice, the Binghamton women's basketball team hosts Le Moyne in its opening exhibition game of the season on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. Head coach Rich Conover, who is in his first full season as the head coach, returns all five starters from last season's team that finished 10-17 overall (6-10 in the America East Conference).

"We been working hard in practice and the players are getting a better grasp of the style of play we are trying to achieve," Conover said. "Our energy and focus has been getting better and our game against Le Moyne will be a great chance to see how we do in a game situation."

Binghamton is led this season by senior point guard Kate Townley (St. Paul, Minn./ Cretin-Derham Hall), who has been named third-team all-conference the past two years, and sophomore guard Jen Blues (Overland Park, Kan./ Blue Valley North), who led the Bearcats last season with 11.2 points per game and was named to the America East Conference All-Rookie Team.

The Bearcats regular season starts on Nov. 22 with a 1 p.m. home game against Syracuse.
