Dan McGraw named Binghamton women's basketball assistant coach

VESTAL, N.Y.-- The Binghamton University women's basketball team has announced the hiring of Dan McGraw as an assistant coach. He comes directly from SUNY-Oneonta, where he has been the head coach of the women's program the past eight seasons.

McGraw had a 147-75 record at Oneonta. His teams qualified for the SUNYAC Tournament in each of his eight seasons and won the conference title in 2001 to earn an NCAA Division III tournament berth. McGraw's teams also reached four consecutive ECAC tournaments between 2003 and 2006, winning the title in 2006.

"We are excited to have Dan join our staff," head coach Rich Conover said. "He has done an outstanding job developing Oneonta into a consistent winner and I am sure he will help us do the same here."

This is the second time McGraw will be one of Conover's assistants. Conover was Oneonta's head coach for the 1998-99 season before becoming a Binghamton assistant coach, and McGraw was his top assistant with the Red Dragons that season.
