Saint Bonaventure women's lacrosse tops visiting Binghamton 19-7
ALFRED, N.Y. -- Katelyn Faas and Brenna Houghton combined for
a 16-point effort to lead Saint Bonaventure (6-4) past visiting
Binghamton (1-11) on Tuesday afternoon at Merrill Field. The
host Bonnies braved the adverse weather conditions using six
multiple-goal scorers to put away the Bearcats in the first of
their three-game hiatus from America East play.
Faas led the attack with a game-high nine points on seven goals
and two assists, while Houghton netted a pair and finished with
five helpers to her credit.
Sophomore Julia Demuth (Jordan, N.Y.)
led Binghamton with a pair of goals and an assist. Freshman Erika Travis (Geneva, N.Y.) scored for
the sixth consecutive game, a span in which she has led the team
with 11 goals and 14 points. Five other Bearcats converted scoring
opportunities in the losing effort.
Junior Sandra Alvarez (Port Washington,
N.Y) played the entire 60 minutes for Binghamton and finished
with 14 saves.
