VESTAL,
N.Y.- While the opening of the lacrosse season may still be a
couple months away, the Binghamton University women's lacrosse
team has already begun to come together.
Members of the Bearcat women's lacrosse team recently took part
in a letter writing campaign to support Move America Forward's
"Honoring Heroes at the Holidays Tour".
The group is collecting over 100,000 Christmas, Hanukkah and
holiday greeting cards to honor and support the men and women
of the U.S. armed forces who will away from their families during
the holiday season.
The organization is currently on a cross-country trip, holding
events in 40 cities across America to gather these cards of support
that will be personally delivered in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Move America Forward is a not-for-profit charitable organization
committed to supporting the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed
Forces.
Binghamton women's lacrosse will celebrate the seventh season
of intercollegiate competition when it opens a 16-game slate
on Sunday, February 17 in Williamsburg, Va., against William
and Mary. |
