IWLCA Academic Honor Roll List

Grand Lakes, Colo. - Erika Travis (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) and Lauren Scott (Jarrettsville, Md./North Hartford) have been named to the 2010 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Academic Honor Roll.

"I am proud of Lauren and Erika for positively representing Binghamton University in the classroom as well as on the field," head coach Tony Zostant.

The IWLCA honored 151 student-athletes from 62 different institutions for their academic excellence. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools, achieved at least junior status academically and a GPA of 3.20 or higher.

Travis, a senior midfielder, who graduated this past May with a degree in human development, captained a Bearcat squad that won its second America East game ever last April against Stony Brook. Travis started all fifteen games for BU, collecting 20 groundballs while causing eight turnovers.

Scott, a junior goalie and management major, started six games for BU. She stopped 60 shots during the season for a team-best, .438 save percentage. Her goals against average (14.61) was also a team-high.

Travis and Scott were also recognized by the America East for their academic prowess during the spring semester. Both posted a GPA of 3.5 or higher, receiving a position on the Commissioner's Honor Roll. Ten other Bearcats joined them on the America East Honor Roll.
