HAMDEN, CONN. -- Freshman attack Kelly Bruneau recorded a game-high six points with three goals and three assists to lead Quinnipiac (2-1) to a 14-6 victory over visiting Binghamton (0-3) in a non-conference women's lacrosse game Saturday afternoon.
Sophomore Julia Demuth (Jordan, N.Y.) tallied the first goal of the game for the Bearcats before the Bobcats scored eight unanswered to take the lead for good.
Down 9-2 at the half, Binghamton opened up the scoring in the second period with three unanswered goals from senior Danielle Edwards (Horseheads, N.Y.), freshmen Erika Travis (Geneva, N.Y.) and Kate Gromatsky (Smithtown, N.Y.) to cut the lead to four, the closest the Bearcats would get the rest of the game.
