New Hampshire starts off strong, defeats women's lacrosse team 21-7

BINGHAMTON, N.Y.--Visiting New Hampshire (3-10, 3-0 AE) netted 11 goals in the opening 11 minutes, including six in the first 5:05 of the game, and went on to defeat Binghamton (0-9, 0-4 AE) 21-7 in an America East Conference women's lacrosse game at on Saturday afternoon.

Binghamton would get a three-goal performance from sophomore midfielder Laura Gabbamonte (Glen Cove, N.Y.) as well as a goal and three assists from freshman center Lauren Wetherell (Bethpage, N.Y.) but the outcome of the game was decided fairly early. Also netting goals for the Bearcats were sophomore midfielder Erin Wall (Belrose Village, N.Y./ Floral Park Memorial), freshman midfielder Allison Lak (Nassau, N.Y./ Columbia) and junior midfielder Danielle Zittel (Port Jefferson Station, N.Y./ Comsewogue).

Binghamton travels to St. Bonaventure on Tuesday for a 4 p.m. game.
