VESTAL, N.Y.-- Visiting Vermont (3-6, 1-2) went on an 11-1 second-half rampage to defeat Binghamton (0-8, 0-3) in an America East Conference women's lacrosse game at Binghamton on Friday afternoon.

The Catamounts were up 10-4 with 2:30 elasped in the second half before scoring three goals in a span of 1:08. After the Bearcats got a goal back at the 4:04 mark, Vermont ripped off the final eight goals of the game in a span of 14:31.

For Binghamton, freshman center Lauren Wetherell (Bethpage, N.Y.) had two goals and an assists to lead the team in scoring. Freshman attacker Kristin Disch (Yorktown Heights, N.Y./ Yorktown) also scored two times while sophomore midfielder Laura Gabbamonte (Glen Cove, N.Y.) had the final goal. Junior goalkeeper Allison Steinberg (Pearl River, N.Y.) made 12 saves in goal.

Binghamton is home on Saturday for a 3 p.m. game against New Hampshire.
