BU wrestling caps strong recruiting class with two 125 pounders
Bearcats poised to have most talented lineup in Division I tenure

VESTAL, N.Y. -- Binghamton wrestling coach Pat Popolizio has finished his recruiting class with the signing of a pair of 125-pounders. Set to join the Bearcats for the 2009-10 season are freshmen Dan Riggi (Scotia, N.Y./Scotia-Glenville) and James Ingraham (Hunting Valley, Ohio/Hunting Valley University School). Both are slated to wrestle at 125 pounds.

Riggi is a four-time state qualifier and placed fourth at the 2009 New York State tournament.

Ingraham is also a four-time state qualifiere and three-time placewinner from Ohio. He has a runnerup and two third-place finishes at the state championship and also took third at the prestigious Ironman tournament this past year.

The pair join fall signees Jimmy Chase (Hanover Park, Ill./Glenbard North HS) and John Paris (Amsterdam, N.Y./Amsterdam HS). Chase, an Illinois state champion and Junior Fila 20 and under national champion, will wrestle at 133 pounds. Paris, a two-time state qualifier and sixth-place finisher at the 2009 New York State tournament, will wrestle at 165.
