BU wrestling evens record with 26-15 win at East Stroudsburg
Bearcats (10-10) win seven of 10 matches, including 24-second pin

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. -- Binghamton wrestling (10-10) won seven of 10 matches and scored a 26-15 road victory over East Stroudsburg Friday evening from the Koehler Fieldhouse.

Senior 149-pound Kyle Fried (Rock Hill, N.Y.), ranked 19th in the country, scored a 4-1 decision to improve to 12-1 in duals.

Junior 157-pound Nate Patterson (Ontario, N.Y.) needed just 24 seconds to record his eighth dual match pin of the season. Patterson raised his record to 20-10 overall, 15-5 in duals.

Sophomore 174-pound Josh Patterson (Ontario, N.Y.) rolled to an 11-3 major decision for his 10th win in 12 duals.

"It was a great match for our guys," head coach Pat Popolizio said. "They showed a lot of character. Guys are working on a lot areas that needed improvement and it showed tonight."

Binghamton returns home to host Columbia and Franklin & Marshall Saturday beginning at 5 p.m. in the West Gym.
