On September 11, the wrestling team spent nearly eight hours assisting flood victims in the Southern Tier. Three coaches and 10 wrestlers joined the Red Cross and National Guard in closing one emergency shelter and readying displaced individuals and families for transportation to a new shelter. The group loaded and unloaded donations at a local charity before heading out into the neighborhoods to help several individual families begin to clean up from the damage. |

BU will welcome 17 recruits from seven different states, including six high school state champions, three All-Americans and a national champion. Head coach Pat Popolizio's incoming class is among the nation's elite. |

Goeres, Kaylor, Lister, Vinson, McGarity and Schiedel give Bearcats a record-tying half-dozen headed to national championship. A total of 33 wrestlers will compete in each of the 10 weight classes at the NCAA Championship, held March 17-19 at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center. |
