Release: October 23, 2009 VESTAL, N.Y. -- Binghamton senior wrestler Josh Patterson has been invited to participate in the 44th Annual NWCA All Star Classic November 22 at Cal State Fullerton (Calif.). The All Star Classic features is a dual meet format comprised of bouts between high-ranking wrestlers at each weight class. The event is being hosted by Cal State Fullerton in its Titan Gym. Patterson, ranked sixth at 184 pounds, will face second-ranked Max Askren of Missouri. Askren is a two-time All-American and Big 12 champion who placed fifth at 197 pounds at the 2009 NCAA Championship. Patterson earned All-America honors last season with a seventh-place showing at the NCAA Championship. He went 46-6 overall and led the nation in wins and pins (22). |
