Release: December 15, 2007 "It was two great matches for us," head coach Pat Popolizio said. "The guys worked on some areas that they needed to improve on which will help us at the end of the year." Sophomore 141-pound Anwar Goeres (Holley, N.Y.) improved to 7-0 on the season with a pin over Jeff Kirchick of Princeton in 1:24 and a major decision over James Beshada of the USMMA. Sophomore 174-pound Josh Patterson (Wayne, N.Y.), who is ranked 15th in the nation, won both of his matches via the technical fall and is now 6-0 on the year. Binghamton earned seven decisions over the USMMA including a pin by sophomore Ryan McGarity (Gibsonia, Pa.) at 149 pounds over Brandon LaDick with only 26 seconds remaining in the third period. The decision was McGarity's first win of his career. Junior Nate Patterson (Ontario, N.Y.) pinned Aaron Casp of Princeton in the 157-pound weight class in 2:58 and earned a decision over Scott Lowe of the USMMA, 10-3. Patterson improved his season record to 8-4. Binghamton next heads to Greensboro, N.C. for the Southern Scuffle on December 28-29. Match Results Binghamton
