Bearcats lose at Sacred Heart 34-5

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - Visiting Binghamton (7-12) won just two matches against their Colonial Athletic Association counterparts, and suffered a 34-5 loss at Sacred Heart Saturday night.

Providing the wins for BU were sophomore Rob Sckalor (Chester, N.Y.) and junior Jeff McAveney (New Fairfield, Conn.). Sckalor moved up a weight to 165 pounds, and scored a 5-1 decision. McAveney posted an 8-5 decision at 184 pounds.

Binghamton 141-pound sophomore Josh Ruff (Bainbridge, N.Y.) absorbed his first dual defeat of the season, falling 7-4 to Michael Messina. Ruff is 13-1 in duals and 23-6 overall.
