ITHACA, N.Y. - Cornell (0-0-1) and Binghamton (0-2-1) battled to a scoreless tie in a women's soccer contest Friday evening. Neither team was able to find the back of the net in the 110-minute, double-overtime contest.
"We really took some great steps forward tonight, head coach Sarah McClellan said. "We showed mental toughness throughout the whole match and although we didn't get the final result that we wanted, we never let down."
Kelly Murphy made six saves for Cornell.
Cornell out shot Binghamton 15-10.
The Bearcats will make their home debut at 1 p.m. Sunday when they host Syracuse at the Bearcats Sports Complex.
