Box Score

VESTAL, N.Y. - Junior back Angelica Hodgson headed in a free kick in the 56th minute to give visiting Maine (5-2-4, 2-1 AE) a 1-0 win over Binghamton (5-5-1, 1-2 AE) in an America East women's soccer game Sunday afternoon at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

The Black Bears earned the free kick from 40 yards out on the right, and junior back Cristina Di Ielsi sent a cross near the goal, where Hodgson beat her defender to the ball and hammered it home from six yards.

Junior keeper Jen McEachron made five saves for the Bearcats, who outshot their guests 9-8.

The Bearcats host Boston University Thursday night in a nationally-televised game. The game will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. on the Fox Soccer Channel.
