BU women's soccer blanked by Miami 4-0

CORAL GABLES, Fla. -- University of Miami (3-2-1) scored twice in each half to blank visiting Binghamton (0-5-1) 4-0 Sunday afternoon in a women's soccer game from Cobb Stadium. The Hurricanes peppered Binghamton keepers with 30 shots and kept the Bearcats winless on the season.

Miami opened the scoring on a penalty kick in the 13th minute and added a second goal less than six minutes later. The Hurricanes scored twice in the second half - in the 52nd and 72nd minutes to complete the scoring.

Sophomore goalkeeper Erin Iman (Bel Air, Md.) started for BU and registered five saves in 66 minutes. Sophomore Jen McEachron (Hoosick Falls, N.Y.) played the final 24 minutes and made six saves while allowing the final goal.

Binghamton returns home to christen the Bearcats Sports Complex on Tuesday, when the Bearcats host Syracuse at 7 p.m.
