Immediate Release: October 2, 2008 VESTAL, N.Y. - Sophomore forward Dani Raske netted the game's lone goal with 10:15 left in the first half and Binghamton (5-4-1, 1-1 AE) held on for a 1-0 win over host UMBC (2-10, 1-1 AE) in an America East game Thursday afternoon from UMBC Soccer Stadium. Raske, who leads the America East in scoring, ripped a 25-yard shot into the upper netting for her fifth goal of the season. "It was a good America East battle and a good win for us," head coach Sarah McClellan said. Junior keeper Jen McEachron made six saves to record her fourth shutout of the season. Binghamton outshot UMBC 12-10. The Bearcats next host Maine at noon on Sunday. |
