Women's tennis ties for third at America East Conference Championships as final match with Stony Brook is rained out.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Rain forced the cancellation of the third-place match between Binghamton and Stony Brook at the America East Conference Championships on Sunday morning. As a result, the Bearcats and the Seawolves finished the weekend tied for third place.

Binghamton was leading Stony Brook in two of the three doubles matches when play was called. The singles matches had yet to begin.

The Bearcats finished the season with a 5-11 record but won five of the last six matches. Their only loss during that span came to defending conference champion Boston in the semifinals on Saturday.

NOTE: Melis Altinay, Lya Kushnirovich, Janine Sadaka and Sherri Stern were named to the all-conference team.
