VESTAL, N.Y.-- For the second time in three seasons, senior Zeynep Altinay (Ankara, Turkey) has been named the America East Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year. She was one of three Binghamton players to appear on the 2006-07 All-Conference squads, joining fellow senior Lya Kushnirovich (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and freshman Erica Rosenblum (Albany, N.Y.).
Altinay, who was also named first-team all-conference, went 17-9 this season while playing primarily at No. 1 singles. In dual matches, she went 12-4.
