Bearcats fall at Army 7-0

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Binghamton opened its spring season with a 7-0 defeat at Army Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats (2-1) posted a 9-7 decision at third doubles, and sent two singles matches to a third-set super tie-break, but came up short.

Freshman Justina Hakimi (Manhasset, N.Y./Herricks) and junior Janine Sadaka (Great Neck, N.Y.) teamed for the 9-7 win at third doubles, but Army captured the doubles point with wins at the first two positions.

Coach Jamie Campbell's squad returns indoors next Saturday, when the Bearcats host Colgate at 7 p.m. at the Binghamton Tennis Center.
