Binghamton women's tennis beats Army 5-2

WEST POINT, N.Y.-- Junior Anna Edelman and sophomore Marina Bykovskaya each won their singles and doubles matches, leading Binghamton (2-0) to a 5-2 win over host Army (0-2) in a dual match on Saturday morning at the Lichtenberg Tennis Center. The win was the second straight triumph for the Bearcats, who swept Seton Hall 7-0 Friday evening and face Sacred Heart this evening at 7 p.m.

Edelman and Bykovskaya defeated Michael Tollerton and Robie Vereno 8-4 at second doubles. In singles play, Edelman downed Tollerton 7-6 (7), 6-4 at No. 4 while Bykovskaya was leading Jessica Ahn 7-5, 3-2 when Ahn retired.

The Black Knights took the other two doubles matches to claim the point but Binghamton won five of six singles matches to seal the win.
