Women's tennis wins seven of eight matches at first day of Bloomsburg Duals

BLOOMSBURG, Pa.--Rain shortened the first day of the Bloomsburg Duals but not before Binghamton won seven of their eight matches. The Bearcats captured two out of three doubles matches and swept all five singles matches.

Freshmen Lauren Bates (Buffalo, N.Y.) and Yulia Smirnova (Moscow, Russia) each made a successful debut, winning both their singles and doubles matches. Sophomore Erica Rosenblum (Albany, N.Y.) and Danyelle Shapiro (Boca Raton, Fla.) also swept both their singles and doubles matches.
