captures pair of titles at Cornell Women's Tennis Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y.--Freshman Jillian Santos won the A Singles
crown as well as the A Doubles Championship, highlighting Binghamton's
performance at the third and final day of the Cornell Fall Invitational.
The three day-event did not have any team scoring.
In singles play, Santos concluded a 4-0 weekend with a 7-6 (5),
6-1 victory over sophomore teammate Lauren Bates in the
A Finals. In her four wins, Santos won a pair of three-set matches
as well as two tiebreakers.
Later in the day, Santos and sophomore Anna Edelman defeated
Temple's team of Elyse Steiner and Dina Senkina in the A Doubles
Final. The Bearcat tandem finished the weekend a perfect 3-0,
including a pair of 9-7 victories.
Binghamton heads to the Eastern Collegiate Championships next
weekend in West Point, N.Y.
