Binghamton women's tennis concludes weekend at Cornell Winter Invitational

ITHACA, N.Y.-- Binghamton won a pair of consolation titles in the third and final day of the Cornell Women's Tennis Winter Invitational.

Sophomore Yulia Smirnova defeated Charlee Warford 3-6, 6-2, 10-7 in the A Singles consolation final. At the B Doubles flight, junior Danyelle Shapiro and freshman
Kamila Sherlin beat Leah Syburne and Julia Loomis of Cornell 8-0 in the finals.

Syburne, however, defeated Sherlin 6-4, 6-1 in the B Singles consolation final.

Binghamton heads to Army next weekend for matches against Seton Hall and the host Black Knights.
