Complete Rankings

VESTAL, N.Y.-- The Binghamton women's tennis team, which finished the season 15-3 and was the runner up in the America East Conference, has finished the season in ninth place in the final ITA Northeast Region Rankings of the year. Junior Anna Edelman and sophomore Marina Bykovskaya also appeared in the final regional rankings.

After being ranked as high as No. 68 in the ITA National Rankings during the season, the Bearcats earned their first-ever regional ranking at the end of a season. There are 50 women's tennis programs in the Northeast Region.

Edelman, meanwhile, tied for No. 20 in the final Northeast Region singles rankings. She also joined Bykovskaya as the sixth-ranked doubles team.

Binghamton returns its top six singles players and top three doubles tandems for the 2010-11 campaign.

"We are very pleased with our final rankings," head coach Mike Stevens said. "We look forward to having everyone back next season."

NOTE: Edelman was the second-highest ranked singles player from a school in the America East Conference. Edelman and Bykovskaya, however, were the top-ranked doubles team.
