women's tennis sweeps Savannah State 7-0
HILTON
HEAD, S.C.-The Binghamton women's tennis team (8-5) won its final
match of its spring road trip, sweeping Savannah State 7-0 on
Thursday afternoon. The Bearcats won all five singles matches
and both doubles matches in addition to a pair of wins by default.
The win gave Binghamton a 3-0 record on its spring road trip.
With her 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 1 singles over Niekell Lashley,
sophomore Zeynep
Altinay (Antayla, Turkey) raised her singles
record to 23-4 for the season. She has now won 14 of her last
15 matches, all at No. 1 singles.
The Bearcats won 26 out of 27 matches during their week-long
spring trip.
Binghamton
travels to Quinnipiac for a 2 p.m. match on April 2.
