Binghamton women's tennis defeats Seton Hall 6-1

WEST POINT, N.Y.-- Freshman Jillian Santos won at both first singles and first doubles, leading Binghamton (3-1) to a 6-1 win over Seton Hall (0-1) in a women's tennis match on Saturday afternoon at West Point, N.Y.

Santos knocked off Elizabeth Verow 6-4, 6-4 at first singles and teamed up with sophomore Yulia Smirnova to defeat Verow and Denise Liebenschner 8-2 at first doubles. Smirnova also beat Danielle Viola 6-3, 6-2 at third singles.

The Bearcats won two of three doubles matches and five of six singles matches.

Binghamton faces host Army on Sunday at 10 a.m.
