Women's tennis falls short against Temple 4-3
Senior Anna Edelman was lone Bearcat to win both matches

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Binghamton fell to host Temple University 4-3 in a dual match Sunday afternoon. Senior Anna Edelman tallied a pair of wins to pace the Bearcats, who drop to 2-3 in dual matches this season.

"We had a very close match, we fought hard and we know what we need to work on in order to bounce back next weekend," head coach Libby McGovern said.

Edelman teamed with junior Marina Bykovskaya for a 9-8 triumph at first doubles. However, BU already dropped the first two sets of doubles competition to lose the crucial point.

In singles play, junior Jillian Santos registered an impressive straight-set victory and only dropped three games (6-1, 6-2). Classmate Emma Leibowicz posted a comeback victory at fifth singles, as did Edelman at first singles.

Binghamton is slated to meet Dartmouth next Saturday in a dual match at noon.
