PHILADELPHIA, Pa.--In the first of three weekend matches in Philadelphia this weekend, the Binghamton women's tennis team (3-2) blanked the Villanova Wildcats 7-0. The Bearcats swept the six singles matches and took two of three doubles matches to capture the doubles point. Freshman Justina Hakimi (Manhasset, N.Y.), who sports a 7-3 overall record in her first collegiate season, moved up to #1 singles for the first time against Villanova, and produced a 6-2, 6-2 win over her Wildcats foe. Hakimi was followed in the lineup by junior Janine Sadaka (Great Neck, N.Y.), who moved down to the #2 spot, and senior Amy Weissberg (Syosset, N.Y.) at #3. Sophomore Alexis Brill (Syosset, N.Y.), senior Kristin Jobe (Baytown, Texas) and sophomore Amy Linda (Bronx, N.Y.) rounded out the lineup for Binghamton, which won all six singles flights in straight sets. Brill and Hakimi teamed up for a win at first doubles, while Sadaka and Weissberg captured the third doubles flight.
